  • Skill Assembly: Step 0 to Step 6
    This assembly supports learners to understand key concepts related to the early steps of Staying Positive. It starts by defining the skill and considering key themes, before identifying the skill in action. The themes are explored through three simple exercises, followed by a chance to reflect on their own skills.

    Support learners with additional needs to focus tightly on specific skill steps of Staying Positive by displaying these posters of the Skills Builder Expanded Universal Framework.

    In this short lesson, learners explore other people's emotions in a series of photos.
  • Skill Workshop: Step 0 to Step 10
    This workshop will cover Steps 0-10 of the Skills Builder Universal Framework for Staying Positive. The steps are grouped in three stages: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced.

    In this short lesson, learners draw different emotions and what may have caused someone to feel this way.
  • Skill Workbook: Step 0 to Step 10
    This interactive workbook allows learners to gather a bank of evidence for building their own Staying Positive skills at Steps 0-10 of the Skills Builder Universal Framework for essential skills.
  • Reward System: Step 0 to Mixed
    Support learners to recognise when they are applying Staying Positive skills successfully by rewarding them with this colourful certificate. This resource can either be printed out or edited digitally.
  • Teacher Guide: Step 0 to Step 15
    This Resource Pack provides an overview of resources and activities to support learners, including those with additional needs. Alongside this overview, Best Practice Snapshots give examples of where these have been successfully applied in an inclusive learning setting.

    Support educators and learners to focus tightly on specific skill steps of Staying Positive by displaying these themed posters, including reflection questions at all steps. The posters reflect the four stages of progression in this skill. This resource can be used either in print or in its interactive version with built-in hyperlinks to the Universal Framework for essential skills.
  • Project: Step 0 to Step 1
    In this project, learners build Steps 0 and 1 in Listening, Staying Positive and Leadership as they consider: How can we spread joy? They explore the role of a delivery service in helping people to spread happiness. Learners form a delivery service of their own, delivering letters and parcels around their community.
